John Chang

John Chang, CPA, MST has over 30 years of work experience in the fields of tax and accounting. John is currently working as a Tax Director - Operations at New Fortress Energy since June 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Prudential Financial for 10 years as a Director of Tax from June 2013 to June 2023. Before joining Prudential Financial, John worked at KPMG, LLP as a Senior Manager, Tax from July 2006 to June 2013. John also has experience working as an Internal Revenue Agent at the Internal Revenue Service from November 2003 to June 2006. In addition, they have worked as a Certified Public Accountant at their own firm, John H. Chang, CPA, EA. John started their career as a Tax and Accounting Manager at Tae In Kwak, CPA. from March 1993 to August 1998.

John Chang, CPA, MST has a Master's degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University. John also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Hawaii Pacific University. Additionally, they have completed studies in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. John holds certifications as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, Colorado, and Hawaii, as well as an inactive Enrolled Agent (EA) certification from the IRS.
