Wesley R. Edens

Mr. Edens has been the Chief Executive Officer and the Chairman of the board of directors since August 2018. He is the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Fortress and has been a member of the board of directors of Fortress since November 2006. Mr. Edens has been a member of the Management Committee of Fortress since co-founding Fortress in May 1998. Fortress Equity Partners (A) LP, a private equity fund managed by an affiliate of Fortress, currently owns a substantial majority of the equity of New Fortress Energy Holdings. Mr. Edens is responsible for oversight of Fortress’ private equity and publicly traded alternative investment businesses. He is the Chairman of the board of directors of New Media Investment Group Inc. (a publisher of print and online media) and Drive Shack Inc. (an owner and operator of golf-related leisure and entertainment businesses). He is a director of Mapeley Limited (a large full service real estate outsourcing and investment company in the United Kingdom).
