Sarah Fontaine

Sarah Fontaine is a Staff Attorney at New Hampshire Public Defender, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Sarah served as a Student Attorney at The Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinics at The George Washington University Law School, focusing on Criminal Appeals and Post-Conviction Services from August 2022 to May 2023. Additional experience includes a role as a Summer Law Clerk at the Virginia Indigent Defense Commission, a Legal Extern at The Office of the Federal Public Defender in the Eastern District of Virginia, and a Legal Extern at Equal Justice Under Law. Sarah has also interned at the Sixth Amendment Center and the New England Innocence Project, and worked as an Intake Assistant and Group Volunteer Intern with various organizations. Sarah holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from The George Washington University Law School and dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government and Women's Studies from American University.
