Janice Phillips

Director, Technology at New Horizon Biotech

Janice Phillips is the current Director of Technology at New Horizon Biotech. Janice has over forty years of experience in the field of engineering, specifically in the areas of process development and manufacturing technology.

Janice began their career in 1973 as a research engineer for Air Products. After five years with the company, they transitioned to academia, spending twenty years as a professor of chemical engineering at Lehigh University. In 1999, they left academia to join Centocor as an associate director in their mammalian cell culture development department.

After three years at Centocor, Janice moved to GBSC, LLC as their director of bioprocess sciences. From 2006 to 2009 they were the executive director of manufacturing technology at Tengion before taking on the role of vice president of process development and manufacturing technology at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals from 2009 to 2012.

In 2016, Janice became the head of technical operations at WindMIL Therapeutics. Janice held this position until 2018 when they took their current role at New Horizon Biotech. Throughout their forty-plus year career, Janice has been an innovator in their field, developing new methods and technologies that have helped shape the process development and manufacturing industries.

Janice Phillips completed their undergraduate studies at Villanova University, where they earned a B.Ch.E in chemical engineering. Janice then went on to complete their graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, earning both an M.S. and Ph.D. in chemical and biochemical engineering.

They work with and Dwight Rose - Director, Operations. Their manager is Ernest Stadler, Founder, CEO.
