New Hospital Programme
Richard Lennard currently serves as Executive Commercial Director for the New Hospital Programme since March 2024. Prior to this role, Richard held various senior positions at Sellafield Ltd from September 2007 to March 2024, including Head of Client, Projects, where accountability centered on the transformational Project 13 Programme and the Project Partnership delivery model. Richard also served as Head of Commercial across multiple divisions, overseeing procurement, supply chain management, and commercial activities for a substantial capital project portfolio, including the Silos Direct Encapsulation Plant project. Richard's career began at British Nuclear Group, where initial roles included Commercial Graduate and Contract Specialist. Richard is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, having earned this designation between 2008 and 2010, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from the University of Sheffield.

Rather than treating each project as a standalone scheme, we will capture opportunities to standardise design and leverage scale to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.
