Hildalyn Colon Hernandez

Hildalyn Colon Hernandez possesses over 15 years of experience in community empowerment and policy development, currently serving as Deputy Director at New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) since April 2023. Previously, Hildalyn held the position of Director of Policy & Strategic Partnerships at Los Deliveristas Unidos/Workers Justice Project from June 2021 to December 2022. Extensive experience at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office included roles as Construction Fraud Task Force Coordinator, Principal Community Coordinator for Immigrant Communities & Press Officer, and Ethnic Media Press Officer & Senior Community Affairs Coordinator for Immigrant Communities from 2010 to December 2021. Hildalyn's career began as Lead Organizer/Community Outreach at NY/NJ Regional Joint Board/Workers United and as Westchester/Long Island Political Coordinator for the Service Employees International Union, Local 32BJ. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations and a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
