Mary Birrer is an experienced environmental educator with a strong background in teaching and conservation. Currently serving as a Teacher Naturalist at New Jersey Audubon since December 2020, Mary delivers high-quality environmental education programming with a focus on climate change. Previous roles include serving as an AmeriCorps Conservation Specialist at New Jersey School of Conservation, where Mary engaged residential school groups in conservation and history through diverse ecological activities. Mary's earlier experiences include internships and educator positions at several environmental centers, where Mary developed curricula, led hands-on educational programs, cared for rescue animals, and conducted research projects. Mary holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources from Rutgers University, complemented by a foundational education at County College of Morris.
