Amateur Scout at New Jersey Devils

Rick Comley is an experienced amateur scout and player personnel professional with a diverse background in hockey management. Currently serving as an amateur scout for both the Utah Hockey Club and the Arizona Coyotes, as well as the assistant director of player personnel for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program, Comley has accumulated extensive experience since 2016 with the New Jersey Devils and previously with the Omaha Lancers, United States Hockey League, Sioux City Musketeers, and Des Moines Buccaneers. Comley holds a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the same institution. Throughout the career, Comley has been instrumental in coaching strategies, player recruitment, and development, while leading team scouting efforts and mentoring scouts across various organizations.
