Corey Heffernan Ph.D. is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in neuroscience and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Research Professor and Adjunct Lecturer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Corey is responsible for the development and implementation of curricula for various courses while also providing mentorship to students. Previous positions include significant roles as a Lab Manager and Sub-Principal Investigator in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, postdoctoral researcher at Rutgers University, and Chief Executive Officer of SAPHTx Inc., where Corey successfully led fundraising efforts and developed innovative therapeutic approaches. With a strong background in research and education, Corey has contributed to numerous publications and participated in programs aimed at advancing commercial opportunities for scientific innovations.
