Eon Soo Lee, a highly accomplished academic and industry professional, holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Yonsei University. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since 2013, Eon Soo Lee directs the Advanced Energy Systems and Microdevices Laboratory, focusing on new and renewable energy systems. Eon Soo Lee is also the founder of Abonics, Inc., a startup dedicated to nano biochip development for multiplex disease diagnostics. Elected as a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors in 2020, Eon Soo Lee has held leadership positions within the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association, including Technical Group C-3 Councilor and Chapter President, and has received recognition for contributions to the field, such as the Samsung Technology Award in 2011 during tenure at Samsung Electro-Mechanics.
