Matthew Golden

VP, Communications & Marketing at New Jersey Institute of Technology

Matthew Golden is the current Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Prior to this, they served as Senior Advisor and Director of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President at NJIT. In this role, they were responsible for a variety of tasks, including presidential and senior executive communications, media training, crisis communications, and leading presidential strategic initiatives. Matthew also consulted with and advised the Office of Strategic Communications on marketing and messaging campaigns.

Before their time in the Office of the President, Golden worked with NJIT’s executive vice president and provost to develop communication plans and collateral that highlighted research, technological innovation, and highly impactful educational practices. Matthew also supported government and community relations activities.

Golden has extensive experience in communications and marketing, and they are a valuable asset to NJIT. Matthew is dedicated to their work and takes pride in representing NJIT in a positive light.

Matthew Golden has a BA in Sociology from Princeton University, an MA in Communications from Rutgers University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University.
