Robert J. Pomykala

Robert J. Pomykala is a Senior Safety Planner at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since September 2017, serving as an Incident Management Consultant to NJDOT and leading emergency response and traffic planning for the Restore 495 Project. Prior to this role, Robert held multiple positions at the New Jersey State Police from January 2015 until retirement, including Lieutenant and Head of the State Governmental Security Unit, where responsibilities included overseeing security operations at the State Capitol Complex. Additionally, Robert served as the Troop "C" Operations Officer, managing daily operations and acting as Incident Commander for critical events, and as the Division Transportation Officer, managing the fleet of vehicles. From May 2013 to June 2014, Robert worked as a Regional Incident Management Coordinator, focusing on traffic incidents affecting highways and providing training for the Traffic Incident Management Safety Course.
