Michael Scarano

Michael Scarano, P.E., F.SAME, currently serves as the Senior Director of Capital Project Management at NJ TRANSIT, overseeing capital projects across one of the nation's busiest commuter railroads. With extensive experience in various roles, Scarano has been a Secretary for the Society of American Military Engineers NYC Post since 1986 and has participated in numerous public speaking engagements, including guest lectures at the US Military Academy and keynote addresses at conferences. Scarano has also held significant positions at organizations such as AECOM, DiGeronimo PC Architects, and The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, contributing to major projects including LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment and the "Build it Back" program following Hurricane Sandy. Scarano holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The City College of New York, with a minor in Psychology.
