W. Scott Maaskant

W. Scott Maaskant is a seasoned construction program manager currently spearheading the Portal North Bridge Project at NJ TRANSIT, having been with the organization since March 2003. This role entails overseeing a diverse team of staff, engineering consultants, and contractors to enhance rail infrastructure as part of a collaborative effort with several governmental and transit agencies. Previously, W. Scott Maaskant held various positions at NJ TRANSIT including principal engineering project manager for Positive Train Control, senior project manager for rail mechanical projects, and quality assurance specialist, demonstrating extensive expertise in project management, logistics, and compliance with federal safety standards. W. Scott Maaskant also brings experience from Verizon Communications as an outdoor field technician and lineman, where responsibilities included the maintenance and installation of telecommunications equipment. A graduate of Saint Peter's University, W. Scott Maaskant has devoted most of the professional career to advancing rail and transit operations.
