Katherine Bassett

Katherine Bassett is a seasoned leader in education, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Tutoring Corps since November 2022, where Katherine envisions and leads statewide tutoring initiatives for K-8 scholars. As the CEO and Founder of Tall Poppy LLC since March 2018, Katherine provides consultancy services focused on leadership development and education policy. Previous roles include Executive Director of New Jersey Tutoring Corps at The College of New Jersey, Co-Founder of Research and Assessment Design: Science Solution, and President and CEO of the National Network of State Teachers of the Year, where significant organizational growth and policy influence were achieved. Katherine's extensive experience also includes various high-level positions at Pearson and the Educational Testing Service, where Katherine enhanced educator relations and assessment strategies. Katherine holds multiple degrees in educational media and education, complemented by a Mini-MBA from Rutgers University.
