Kristen C.

Kristen C. is a certified recreational therapist with extensive experience in providing therapeutic services to individuals with developmental disabilities and rehabilitation needs. Currently serving as a Recreational Therapist at New Leaf Recreation, LLC since September 2020, Kristen offers specialized services under the Indiana Medicaid Waiver. Prior roles include tutoring at the School Town of Munster from August 2017 to May 2020, where Kristen focused on math and literacy interventions for grades 2-5, and assisting students with developmental disabilities at Lake Central School Corporation from August 2010 to May 2016. Kristen's earlier career includes serving as a Recreational Therapist at Methodist Hospitals for over a decade, where Kristen worked with patients recovering from various physical impairments and co-coordinated a Stroke Support Group. Kristen began this professional journey as a Recreational Therapy Intern at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Academically, Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University Bloomington and has pursued further education at Eastern Washington University.
