Mario Vega currently serves as the Director of Mentoring at New Life Centers, overseeing programming for at-risk youth in Little Village and Humboldt Park while managing staff and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. With extensive experience in the Air National Guard as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician since 2009, Mario has developed expertise in maintaining aerospace ground equipment, implementing production controls, and facilitating mission readiness. Previous roles include serving as a Legislative Aide and Community Liaison for Senator Villanueva, coordinating sports programs at New Life Centers of Chicagoland, and supervising facilities maintenance for The Community Builders, Inc. Mario holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Chicago and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Aerospace Ground Equipment Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
