Lisa Cohen has a diverse work experience in various financial roles. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Staff Accountant at Tyler, Simms & St. Sauveur, CPAs, where they performed audits and ensured compliance with GAAS standards. From 2009 to 2013, they worked at Alice Peck Day Health Systems, Corp. as a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst, where they provided training, support, and implemented procedures to improve financial processes. In 2013, they joined Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice for VT & NH as a Controller, where they directed a team and implemented new processes to improve monthly closing procedures. Since 2014, Lisa has been working at New London Hospital, starting as Controller/VP of Finance and currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they prepare key reports, ensures data accuracy, and provides financial operations information to the leadership team.
Lisa Cohen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from New England College, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Lisa has also obtained several certifications including Certified Public Accountant from the Vermont Board of Accountancy in January 2009 and the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy in September 2008. Lisa also holds the Certified Healthcare Finance Professional certification from the Healthcare Financial Management Association, which they obtained in January 2010.
