Swami Iyer

Swami I. currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Cook Inlet Region, Inc., a position held since October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as President at Virgin Galactic in the Aerospace Systems sector from March 2021 to March 2023, and President & CEO of Advanced Defense Systems at GKN Aerospace from April 2020 to March 2021. Swami I. also held leadership roles at IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries as CEO of North America and as Chairman of the Board for ELTA North America and Stark Aerospace from May 2018 to April 2020. Additional experience includes a role as President at Ultra Electronics Group, Vice President at Honeywell for Defense and Space, and Chief of the South Asia, Australia & Oceania Branch at the Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs. An educational background includes a Master's of Science & Engineering in Aerospace from the University of Michigan and the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, as well as a Bachelor's of Science and Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
