Micah Thornton

Micah Thornton is an experienced process engineer currently employed at New Mather Metals, Inc. since October 2020. Previously, Micah worked as a mechanical engineering co-op at Meritor from December 2016 to October 2020, focusing on tooling design, reverse engineering, continuous improvement projects, and contractor management. Earlier experience includes serving as a welder at Tate Ornamental, Inc. from June 2014 to February 2016, where Micah specialized in structural and ornate welding for large projects. Micah's career began as a maintenance specialist at Steel Warehouse from September 2011 to June 2014, where responsibilities included maintenance of steel laser cutting equipment and facility management. Micah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western Kentucky University, obtained from 2015 to 2019, and an education in Welding Technologies from Ohio Technical College, completed in 2012.
