Leif Gregory

Deputy CIO at New Mexico Department of Health

Leif Gregory has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Leif began their career in 1990 as a Satellite and Wideband Telecommunications specialist in the United States Air Force before transitioning to the IT field. In 2002, they joined the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) as a Network Administrator, where they played a crucial role in developing and implementing IT systems for emergency response. Leif then took on various roles within NMDOH, including IT Manager and Chief Technology and Security Officer (CTSO), where they were responsible for defining standards, policies, and procedures related to IT implementation. In 2023, they became Deputy CIO at NMDOH. Additionally, Leif worked as an IT Specialist at Berenson & Associates from 2007 to 2010.

Leif Gregory attended Cibola High School from 1987 to 1990 and obtained a High School Diploma with a focus on General studies. Following this, from 1996 to 2000, Leif enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In addition, Leif obtained the ITIL Foundations 2011 certification from New Horizons in June 2013.
