Kelsey Rader currently serves as the Deputy Division Director for the Water Protection Division at the New Mexico Environment Department since September 2023. Previous roles include Vice Chair of the New Mexico Water Quality Control Commission from April 2019 to August 2023 and Sustainability Officer for the City of Albuquerque from January 2019 to August 2023. Kelsey Rader held the position of Natural Resource Policy Director at New Mexico First from September 2016 to January 2019, and completed internships at the U.S. Department of the Interior, University of New Mexico Institute of Public Law, National Audubon Society, and the New Mexico Environment Department Office of General Counsel. Kelsey Rader earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a focus on Natural Resources and Environmental Law from The University of New Mexico School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in German Studies, English Literature, and Spanish from the University of Arizona.
