Alanna Dancis is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at the New Mexico Human Services Department since April 2022. Previously, Dancis worked as a Nurse Practitioner at the University of New Mexico Hospital from March 2015 to April 2022, specializing in geriatric care. Dancis has extensive nursing experience, having held various positions including Registered Nurse roles at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Wissahickon Hospice, Penn Care at Home, and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dancis holds a Master’s Degree in Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from the University of Pennsylvania and a BSN from Jefferson College of Health Sciences.
