Kristie Brooks currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Transformation and Innovation at the New Mexico Health Care Authority since May 2025. Prior to this role, Kristie held the position of Regional Director at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) from May 2022 to April 2025. Kristie's extensive experience also includes serving as the Director of Strategy and Director of Behavioral Health at the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma from May 2008 to May 2022. Kristie holds a Master of Science in Counseling from East Central University, earned between January 2004 and January 2007.
