Kyra Ochoa

Kyra Ochoa serves as the Deputy Secretary at the New Mexico Human Services Department since January 2024. Prior to this role, Kyra Ochoa was the Director of the Community Health and Safety Department for the City of Santa Fe, where responsibilities included leading a team of 665 employees across various public safety and community health domains. Additionally, Kyra Ochoa has held multiple roles focused on improving community health outcomes, including the Health Care Assistance Program Manager in Santa Fe County and Community Engagement Specialist in Bernalillo County. Kyra Ochoa's background includes a Master of Public Health from New Mexico State University, an MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State University, and a BA in Literary Studies from Bard College at Simon's Rock.
