Amira Rasheed is an established professional with significant experience in advocacy and consumer protection. Currently serving as the ADA coordinator at the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General since June 2016, Amira has also held the role of advocate within the advocacy and intervention division and the consumer environmental protection division. From October 2021 to July 2023, Amira was the president of NM Allies for Advocacy, where involvement as a founding member and board member began in 2011. Prior experience includes serving as the statewide self-advocacy coordinator for The ARC of New Mexico from 2015 to September 2019 and being a board member for the Developmental Disability Planning Council from September 2013 to February 2019. Amira Rasheed earned a Bachelor of Applied Science from The University of New Mexico, completing the degree from 2001 to 2009.
