Kim Kerr

Kim Kerr is an experienced professional in risk management and education, currently serving as a College Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University since August 2019, where risk management and insurance classes are taught. As the Managing Member of Kerr Maurer Holdings LLC dba KM Consulting and Coaching since July 2019, consulting and coaching services are provided. Previously, Kim held significant roles including First Vice President and Director of Risk Management at Alliant Insurance Services from January 2015 to July 2019, and Vice President on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Chapter of RIMS from January 2017 to September 2018. Other notable positions include Assistant Chief Administrative Officer for the County of El Dorado, City Manager for the City of Ione, and various roles in the County of Humboldt and County of Solano. Kim’s educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Wayland Baptist University. Service in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Military Police Corps from 1981 to 1990 also contributes to a diverse skill set.
