Orlando Hernandez Ying is the Lapis Curator of Arts of the Americas at the New Orleans Museum of Art, where responsibilities include collections research, exhibition development, and donor stewardship. Previously, Orlando served as a Curatorial Associate at The Hispanic Society Museum & Library, focusing on exhibition planning and art historical research. Other notable roles include Goldschmidt & Rockefeller Curatorial Fellow and Post-Doctoral Curatorial Researcher at the Hispanic Society of America, adjunct professor positions at Quality Leadership University, Tulane University, and New York University, and Chief Curator at the Museo Antropologico Reina Torres de Arauz in Panama. Orlando holds a Ph.D. in Art History from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies from New York University.
