Steven Alves

Steven Alves has extensive experience in basketball operations, currently serving as Player Personnel/Video Coordinator for the Birmingham Squadron under the New Orleans Pelicans since September 2019. Alves has expertise in player and team development, scouting, and roster evaluations, having held roles such as Front Office Development Trainee to the Executive VP of Basketball Operations, and an NBA Front Office Insider Consultant to Adrian Wojnarowski and Bobby Marks at 4th East Productions. Previous positions include public relations and communications internships with the Los Angeles Sparks, brand development at Creative Artists Agency, and consulting for the New York Knicks. Alves holds a Master's degree in Sports M.B.A. from California State University, Long Beach, and has completed certifications in Contract Law from Harvard Law School and Professional Basketball Scouting from Sports Management Worldwide.
