Jared Marcell

Jared Marcell is an experienced library professional currently serving as Assistant Branch Manager and Library Associate III at the New Orleans Public Library since August 2019. Prior to this role, Jared worked as Studio Manager and Assistant Engineer at the Music Shed, handling studio bookings, client counseling, and administrative duties, as well as managing technical aspects of recording sessions. Additionally, Jared was the drummer and manager for the band Smiley with a Knife, coordinating performances and promotional efforts. Earlier experience includes a role as Teacher's Assistant at Loyola University New Orleans, where Jared provided guidance to students in a recording studio. Jared holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies from Loyola University New Orleans and is currently pursuing a Master of Library & Information Science at Louisiana State University.
