Shannon-Leigh Scheepers is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in infrastructure and fit-out project management. Currently serving as a Project Controller and Infrastructure Project Manager at New Plymouth District Council since October 2020, Shannon-Leigh previously held various roles at Atvantage Group from June 2016 to January 2020, including Project Manager, overseeing notable projects such as the Marriott Hotel Fit Out in Johannesburg and AC Yacht Club Hotel in Cape Town. Earlier career experience includes positions as Junior Project Manager and Document Controller at Turner & Townsend, where involvement in projects like the roof replacement for an ABSA branch and work at the Chevron Refinery was prominent, as well as serving as Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor for the Master Builders Association Western Cape. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Construction Studies and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Construction Management from the University of Cape Town, along with a short course in the Occupational Health and Safety Act from the University of South Africa.
