Tracy Metzger

Tracy Metzger has a strong background in the steel industry, with significant experience in business development, management, and engineering roles. Tracy most recently worked as the VP Solar & Metal Solutions at New Process Steel since December 2021. Before that, Tracy served as the Director Of Business Development at Priefert Steel from September 2015 to December 2021. In this position, they played a key role in expanding the company's market presence and doubling the profitability of the roll form department. Tracy also implemented an incentive plan to enhance productivity. Prior to Priefert Steel, Tracy was the Solar Division Manager at Schuff Steel from November 2005 to September 2015. During their tenure, they successfully launched the solar division and grew it to $48 million per year. Tracy's responsibilities included designing and marketing steel structures for large solar fields. Tracy previously worked as a Machine Design Engineer at Hawkeye Concrete from June 2003 to October 2005, where they engineered and installed automated equipment for concrete pipe plants. Tracy also held the position of Medium Voltage Product Owner at GE Energy from June 2001 to June 2003, where they ensured switchgear was built according to specifications and drove design improvements. Their career began at The HON Company, where they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and Machine Design Engineer from June 1995 to June 2001. Tracy focused on designing and commissioning automated equipment for high volume production lines and implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve profitability. Throughout their career, Tracy has demonstrated their ability to drive growth, optimize operations, and deliver results in the manufacturing industry.

Tracy Metzger pursued their education at Kettering University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with a Machine Design Specialty.
