New School Hosting manages short term rentals, currently focused on Virginia vacation markets, and coaches new investors interested in this asset class nationwide.  We believe that, if done correctly, short term rentals can provide fantastic investment returns while being truly passive for the owner.  It’s all about finding the right combination of property, owner, and manager.  The property needs to have high revenue potential, the owner needs to be invested in their property’s success, and the manager needs to know what they’re doing and be willing to take an active, hands-on approach to revenue management and guest satisfaction.  When this happens, the property brings in enough revenue to allow the manager to take a smaller cut and still be profitable, leaving the owner with a passive real estate investment that outperforms other asset classes, and then the cherry on top is the personal use of the property.
