Michael Shaffer

Michael Shaffer is an experienced construction professional with a degree in Urban Affairs and City Planning from Virginia Tech. Currently serving as a Project Manager at New South Construction since September 2016, Michael oversees projects such as the $60 million Knox Apartments in Acworth, Georgia. Previously, Michael held roles as Assistant Project Manager at The Walsh Group, focusing on significant projects like the P-131 Electrical Capacity and Cooling Towers at NSA Bethesda, and as Project Engineer at dck north america, LLC, managing quality control and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. Michael's career began at Hess Construction + Engineering Services, where responsibilities included field engineering, document control, and participation in preconstruction activities.
