John Watson

John Watson is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as the Managing Director of Tactical Opportunities at Blackstone, a position held since August 2021. In addition to this role, John holds multiple board positions, including Board Observer at CoreWeave, and memberships on the boards of New Tradition, Certified Collectibles Group, and YES Network. Prior to Blackstone, John accumulated extensive experience at Morgan Stanley, where roles included Executive Director and Vice President within Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, along with prior positions in investment banking. John began a career at UBS Investment Bank, where the position of Director focused on the Convertible Bond Desk. Academically, John holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Government from Wesleyan University, complemented by studies at Morehouse College.
