Adjunct Faculty at New Ventures West

Karen McLeod is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and marine resource management. Currently serving as the Director of the Marine Resource Management Program at the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at Oregon State University since September 2022, Karen also operates Luminescent Leadership LLC as an Executive and Leadership Coach since April 2019, focusing on empowering leaders as changemakers. In addition to coaching, Karen mentors students in the Professional Coaching Course at New Ventures West as Adjunct Faculty since March 2020. Previously, Karen had a distinguished career at COMPASS, where roles included Director of Leadership Programs, Deputy Director, and Interim Executive Director, overseeing leadership program development and organizational strategies from 2003 to 2022. Educational credentials include a PhD in Ecology from Oregon State University, an MS in Ecology from the University of South Florida, and a BA in Biology from Franklin & Marshall College, along with a Senior Leadership Program certification from Training Resources for the Environmental Community.
