Allison Cohen has extensive experience in data analytics and research in the education sector. Allison worked at New Visions for Public Schools, where they held various roles including Director of Data Analytics, Deputy Director of Data Analytics, and Senior Data Analyst. Prior to that, they worked at Transitional Age Youth San Francisco (TAYSF) as a Project Manager and Consultant/Policy Analyst. Allison also gained experience as a Policy and Research Analyst at the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Education. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Fellow at the Center for Cities and Schools at UC Berkeley, a Research Assistant at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University and the National Center for Restructuring Education, Schools & Teaching - Teachers College, Columbia University, and as a Youth Leadership Fellow at Common Cents.
Allison Cohen completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at Emory University from 2001 to 2005. Allison then pursued further education and received a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) with a specialization in youth policy from the University of California, Berkeley, attending from 2008 to 2010. In 2019, Allison attended the Columbia Business School for a short duration to participate in the Developing Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals, earning an Executive Education certificate.
