Grace Jamieson

Grace Jamieson's work experience includes various roles in education and public outreach. Grace served as Director of Instruction at New Visions for Public Schools starting in August 2020. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Harvard University Graduate School of Education from May 2020 to August 2020. Grace also worked at Boston Public Schools as part of the Office of Elementary Superintendents from August 2019 to April 2020.

In addition, Jamieson has experience as a High School English Teacher and OSS Tutor at Framingham Public Schools from June 2016 to June 2019. Grace also worked as a Summer School Instructor there from June 2018 to August 2018.

Furthermore, Jamieson has served as a Research Class Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough New York in 2016 and as a Student Teacher at The James Baldwin School from August 2015 to December 2015.

Prior to their teaching roles, they worked at InnovateEDU as an Operations and Public Outreach Associate from May 2014 to August 2015, and as a Public Outreach & Social Media Intern from February 2014 to May 2014. Jamieson also gained writing experience as a Staff Writer for La Jeune Politique, a Francophone News Journal, from May 2013 to April 2015. Furthermore, they worked as a Summerbridge Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative in 2014.

Grace Jamieson pursued their education at Columbia University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their field of study was English and Comparative Literature & Urban Teaching. Following this, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where they pursued an Ed. M. degree in Education Policy and Management. In addition to their degrees, Grace Jamieson holds several certifications including the Massachusetts Initial License in Teaching English 5-8, the Massachusetts Initial License in Teaching English 8-12, the New York State Initial License in Teaching English 7-12, and an endorsement in Sheltered English Instruction.
