Natalia Staneva has extensive work experience in the arts and management sectors. Natalia began their career as an Office Manager at C2 REM, an Environmental Management and Development Company, from February 2004 to November 2006. Staneva then worked as an Associate Managing Director at the American Youth Symphony Orchestra from November 2006 to April 2008, where they managed various aspects of orchestral operations and organized fundraising events. Later, in April 2008, they joined the New West Symphony as their General Manager and was responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, negotiating concert hall leases, and preparing financial statements. Staneva quickly climbed the ranks within the organization and served as the Executive Director from August 2011 until their most recent role as the Chief Executive Officer, which they took up in August 2018. In these positions, they demonstrated their ability to successfully plan and execute anniversary celebrations, create strategic plans, manage boards and committees, direct fundraising activities, and advocate for the arts. Staneva also played a key role in community engagement and education programs, as well as in seeking new opportunities for performances.
Natalia Staneva obtained a Master's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from California State University, Long Beach from 2004 to 2008. Natalia also completed an MBA from the College of Business at California State University-Long Beach from 2005 to 2008. In 2015, they obtained a certification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive from CFRE International.
