Matti Andersson is an accomplished professional in product development and management, currently serving as Chief Product Officer at New Works since June 2025. Prior roles include Head of Product Development at &Tradition from September 2021 to May 2025, Product Development Manager at Muuto from August 2016 to September 2021, and various product development positions at IKEA Group and IKEA of Sweden spanning from 2007 to 2016. Matti's background includes significant experience in industrial design and technical quality responsibility, complemented by a degree in industrial design from Yrkeshögskolan i Helsingborg and further education from Kaospiloterna and Malmö University, as well as military training as a reservofficer.

New Works
New Works is a Copenhagen based design house, that aims to create pieces of work at the intersection of design craft and art. Through collaboration with international acknowledged designers, we add a spice to our Scandinavian heritage, which we respect, but want to challenge. Our approach is heavily influenced by our experiments with natural materials and geometric forms, giving our work a nice sculptural touch. We strive to build objects that are not just comfortable to sit in, but also interesting to look at.
