Helena Gan is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at New World Medical since September 2022 and concurrently holds a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California since July 2021. At the University, Helena has developed psychoacoustic tests and software to study sound lateralization in bilateral cochlear implant users. Prior experience includes roles at 11 Health & Technologies, where Helena improved smart ostomy products and managed clinical studies, and at Senseer, where Helena led a major pilot study and developed monitoring applications for assisted living facilities. Early work with Fluid Synchrony involved developing protocols for smart medical devices. Helena earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering in 2019.
