Director Of Revenue Management at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel

Cherisa Kwong has a diverse work experience in the hotel and tourism industry. Cherisa most recently held the position of Director of Revenue Management at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel. Cherisa has also founded two companies, TribeXplorers and The Gem of Africa, both of which focused on promoting travel and tourism in Africa. Prior to that, they worked as a Cluster Revenue Manager for Native, a serviced apartment provider, and Hilton, where they managed a portfolio of hotels in the UK. Cherisa also has experience in hotel management trainee programs, having worked at Hilton Tokyo and Hilton Chongqing. Cherisa began their career as an Assistant Sales Manager at Amara Singapore. Overall, their work experience spans revenue management, entrepreneurship, and destination management.

Cherisa Kwong has a diverse and extensive education history. In 1994, they obtained a Grade 5 Theory of Music certification from ABRSM. Then, in 1998, they achieved Grade 7 Piano certification from the same institution. Moving forward, from 1998 to 2000, Cherisa attended SHATEC - The International Hotel & Tourism School in Singapore, where they obtained a Certificate in Food & Beverage Operations. Following this, from 2000 to 2002, they pursued a Diploma in Hotel Management, specializing in Hospitality, at the same institution. Lastly, Cherisa Kwong attended Monash University from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Business and Commerce degree.

In addition to their formal education, Cherisa Kwong has also obtained several certifications. These certifications include the Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME) from HSMAI in December 2021, the Introduction to Restaurant Revenue Management from eCornell in December 2019, the Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA) from STR in May 2019, and the Achievement Hotel Asset Management Objectives from eCornell in February 2019. Cherisa also completed the Leadership and Innovation in Hospitality Management Winter School program at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in December 2018. Moreover, Cherisa has acquired numerous certifications related to personal development and professional skills, such as Finance for Non-Financial Managers, How to Resolve Conflicts, Collaboration Principles and Process, Creating Your Personal Brand, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Unconscious Bias, and How to Be a Good Mentee and Mentor, all obtained from LinkedIn between September 2022 and February 2023. Additionally, they obtained an Open Water Diver certification from PADI in May 2022.
