Amanda Yijun Wang is currently serving as the 2020 Margaret E. Mahoney Health Policy Fellow at The New York Academy of Medicine, focusing on GIS-based research related to food insecurity in Northern Manhattan. Previous experience includes roles as an Emergency Medical Technician at Upper Valley Ambulance Inc. and a Research Assistant at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where Amanda Wang contributed to improving care practices for opioid-affected newborns and conducted educational interventions for infant formula preparation. Additionally, experience as a Medical Scribe at Inwood Village Pediatrics involved streamlining patient data entry and managing prescription orders. Amanda Wang earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography modified with Economics from Dartmouth College.
