Scott Powers has over 10 years of experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Scott currently works as a Software Engineer 5 at New York Air Brake, where they have been since 2010. Prior to that, they were a Co-Owner at Trapping Ackbar, specializing in design, development, and business operations.
From 2002 to 2007, Scott served as the VP of Engineering at both Concept Keys, Inc. and You & Me Business Consulting, Inc., overseeing all aspects of development and design. During this time, they utilized PHP, MySQL, C++, and the Qt Framework for various website and programming projects.
Additionally, Scott has prior experience as a Sr. Software Engineer at Pointwise, Inc., where they were responsible for GUI design and development using the Qt GUI/Application toolkit.
Scott Powers attended Denton High School from 1985 to 1987, where they received their High School Diploma. Scott then went on to attend Ball State University from 1987 to 1993, earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ball State University, which they completed in 1994.
