Tom Theel

Tom Theel has a diverse background in the software engineering field. Tom started their career in 1998 at Hummingbird, where they conducted research on new technologies and developed applications and server software using Java. From 2003 to 2005, Tom worked at NEC America in the Telecom - Mobile handsets division, where they were responsible for writing requirements and test applications for the Java support in mobile handsets. Tom also tested and verified Java VM implementations and provided technical support for 3rd party vendors. Following this, Tom worked at Raytheon as a Sr Systems Engineer from 2005 to 2006. In 2006, they joined Sevis Systems as a Sr Software Engineer until 2008. Tom then moved on to Rockwell Collins in 2009, where they held the position of Principal Software Engineer until 2013. Most recently, they have been working at New York Air Brake as a Principal Software Engineer. Throughout their career, Tom has gained extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java development and testing.
