Robert Frawley

Swimming Coach at New York Athletic Club

Robert Frawley is an experienced swimming coach and scientist based in New York, currently serving as a Swimming Coach at the New York Athletic Club since April 2014, and as Lead Community Scientist for Harlem at BioBus since May 2016. Frawley also co-produces and co-hosts a monthly stage show at Caveat. nyc, where diverse topics and trivia games are featured. Additionally, Frawley held the position of Head Swim Coach at Red Tide Masters until January 2025 and served as an Adjunct Professor at Marymount Manhattan College, lecturing on Microbiology and Epidemics from September 2016 to June 2024. Previous experience includes a Research Assistant role at the Hospital for Special Surgery, focusing on mineralization mechanisms, and further research positions at Weill Cornell Medical College and The Feinstein Institute. Robert Frawley earned a PhD in Physiology, Biophysics & Systems Biology from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University.
