Shawn Garber has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Shawn served as the Chief Executive Officer at New You Bariatric Group LLC since 2020. Prior to that, they held the role of CEO/Director at New York Bariatric Group starting from 2000. In 2014, they became the Chief of Bariatric Surgery at Catholic Health System Long Island. Shawn also co-founded Virtual Health Partners in 2016 and served as the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer until 2018. Furthermore, they owned Long Island Minimally Invasive Surgery starting from 2000. Lastly, Shawn was the Chief Executive Officer at SSJA Bariatric Management LLC from 2018 to 2020.
Shawn Garber's education history is as follows:
From 1997 to 1998, Shawn pursued a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Prior to that, from 1992 to 1997, Shawn completed a Residency in General Surgery at Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Shawn's journey in medicine started in 1988 when they attained an MD degree from New York Medical College, a period that lasted until 1992.
Before attending medical school, from 1986 to 1988, Shawn obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology from SUNY at Albany.
