Lucas Mertehikian

Lucas Mertehikian is currently the Director of the Humanities Institute at the New York Botanical Garden, a position held since October 2023, and serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute starting September 2024. Prior to these roles, Lucas worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Plant Humanities at Dumbarton Oaks from September 2022 to October 2023. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Harvard University, where studies were completed in May 2022, in addition to a Master's degree in Latin American Studies from Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero and a Licenciado in Letras from the University of Buenos Aires.
