David Mischiu

David Mischiu is a seasoned project manager currently employed at the New York City Housing Development Corporation since September 2019, overseeing construction and rehabilitation projects to ensure their financial stability and sustainability, with notable achievements including closing $350M in new deal volume in FY 2022-2023. Previously, David provided oversight for the Inclusionary Housing team's new construction projects and completed a two-year fellowship at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, engaging in various placements to understand affordable housing development and preservation. Prior experiences also include roles as a graduate teaching assistant, a summer associate in real estate transaction services, and an asset manager for City of Detroit-owned properties. David holds a Master of Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
