Cheryl Hood Francis is an experienced professional with a strong background in internal audit and capital planning within the education sector. Currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit at the NYC School Construction Authority since 2005, Cheryl is responsible for assessing operational risks and ensuring the effectiveness of business controls through comprehensive audits and management reviews. Previously, from 1992 to 2003, Cheryl held the role of Director of Capital Planning at the NYC Department of Education, where significant achievements included the development and management of an $11 billion five-year capital plan for new school construction and maintenance of a vast portfolio of educational facilities. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Queens College.
